Tom Roche and Matt Tolley have been named as the respective Hustle Men’s Head and Assistant Coaches for The Fly Sixes Lacrosse League 2026.

They take hold of a Hustle team that finished third in 2025 after a 24-15 win over Swift in the third place play-off.

Roche and Tolley will be hoping they can bring back the good times to Hustle Men who won The Fly title in 2023 and reached the 2022 and 2024 finals.

England senior men’s box captain and most capped player Tom Roche returns to The Fly after masterminding Forge to a second title in a row in 2025.

An incredible unbeaten run saw his Forge team win all five games they played, including an impressive 22-13 win over Rise in the final.

His previous coaching roles have seen him Assistant Coach of the England U20 Men’s Team and Head Coach of Spencer’s senior first and second teams.

Roche said:

The Fly gives us an opportunity to show off what the best players in our game can do, inspire the next generation, and appeal to people outside of our game.

I couldn't be prouder to be a part of it again!

Tolley will make his The Fly debut next May as the Forge Men’s Assistant Coach but has huge coaching experience as Head of Lacrosse at Sherborne Girls’ School for the past four years.

He is also a coach within the England Lacrosse Aspire Programme where he is the Lead Goalkeeping Coach on the National Programme and Lead Coach in the South-West on the Regional Programme.

Tolley said:

I’m buzzing to make my debut at The Fly 2026 and can’t wait to get stuck in.

Expect speed, flair, and plenty of goals — watch this space.

Both Roche and Tolley will take charge of Forge Men at The Fly Sixes Lacrosse League 2026 when the competition returns in May.
