The Fly alumni Thomas Graham, who played for Rise during the 2025 season, has been selected to represent Australia at the 2026 Asia-Pacific Championship in Wellington, New Zealand next month.

Graham scored 22 points (13G, 9A) as he helped his Rise team reach the final at The Fly 2025, narrowly missing out on the title against Forge.

The talented 33-year-old was also awarded the MVP award at Australia’s 2025 Major League Sixes competition last month, making the All-Star Team as his Seahawks side claimed third place.

Graham represented Australia at the World Lacrosse Super Sixes tournament in Canada in October, scoring 13 points (5G, 8A) with his nation finishing fourth.

Taking place from 6-11 January, the 2026 Asia-Pacific Championship is the Asia-Pacific continental federation equivalent to the European Championship and determines which nations will compete at the 2027 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in Japan.

Following the 2025 European Championship, Israel, Italy, England, Ireland, France, Czechia, and Austria have already qualified for the next World Championship alongside hosts Japan.

Australia have been drawn in Pool A and will take on hosts New Zealand and Korea while Pool B contains Japan, Hong Kong, China, Philippines, and China.
