Double Dutch as Hunt makes The Fly coaching debut alongside Lee-Whitehead for Swift women in ‘26
Netherlands Sixes Coach Hannah Hunt will lead Swift Women as their Head Coach at The Fly Sixes Lacrosse League 2026 with former The Fly player Albert Lee-Whitehead stepping into the Assistant Coach role.
Hunt will be hoping to claim Swift Women’s first title since 2021 when she makes her The Fly debut in May next year.
She has been involved in the Netherlands coaching set-up since 2024 where she has also played her international lacrosse since 2020.
While studying at university in the USA, Hunt also played NCAA Division 1 lacrosse and will make it a family affair at The Fly 2026 as she is married to recently confirmed Forge Men Head Coach Nathan Hunt.
Hunt said:
I am super excited to be a part of The Fly in 2026!
I am looking forward to coaching and collaborating with top talent from around Europe, competing hard, and having a blast while doing it.
Hunt’s Assistant Coach in 2026 will be Albert Lee-Whitehead who takes up a coaching role after playing in every single edition of The Fly so far for Swift (2021, 2023, 2024), Forge (2022), and Rise (2025), making the All-Star Team in 2022.
Lee-Whitehead has experience coaching box lacrosse at the annual E-Box tournament and at SEMLA’s Winter Box League.
Despite being relatively new to coaching, Lee-Whitehead has been determined to gain as much experience and knowledge as possible, coaching at Spencer juniors, Walthamstow Hall, SEWLA Super Counties competition, and Korea U16 sixes teams.
Lee-Whitehead said:
I’m supremely excited to take the step into coaching, and the women’s side has some really exciting talent that I can’t wait to work with!
It’s great to go back to my origins on Team Swift to start the next phase of my sixes journey!
