A Great Britain men’s squad featuring 12 The Fly alumni will be travelling to Oshawa, Ontario, Canada this weekend to take part in the annual Canada Super Sixes event.

All members of the Great Britain squad chosen to compete at this year’s competition have taken to the field at The Fly during the past five seasons with nine of the squad having played during the 2025 season.

With less than three years to go until lacrosse makes its triumphant return to the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA, the Canada Super Sixes tournament is an incredible opportunity for all the teams involved to play Sixes Lacrosse at an elite level and against some of the best in the world.

Great Britain will take on Australia and hosts Canada on Friday before two games against Ireland and Poland on Saturday. Following these four games, there’ll be knockout matches on Sunday to decide the 2025 Canada Super Sixes champions.

This competition comes just a couple of months after the Great Britain men’s team travelled to the USA to take in several scrimmages against university sides across the pond as they continue their preparations towards attempting to qualify for LA28.

GB’s last competitive matches, however, were at The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, Alabama were they finished fourth after an agonising one-goal defeat to Japan in the bronze medal game.

Earlier in the competition in the Group Stage, GB overcame fellow Canada Super Sixes opponents Australia (13-11) and Germany (22-10) while also falling to defeat against USA (9-17) and Canada (11-22).

Haudenosaunee, Mexico, USA, and US Virgin Islands will also take part in the Canada Super Sixes men’s competition while Australia, Canada, Dominican Republic, Germany, Haudenosaunnee, Ireland, and Mexico will feature in a women’s competition.
